Looped my power steering for free and put my Spectre intake back on. Loving the results of both. For comparison, here’s a bad picture of my engine back with the stock stuff in place.
Large black stock intake and airbox, power steering pump, plumbing, and reservoir to the lower right.
Blue Spectre intake, PS pump nowhere to be found, nor the reservoir. Still need to remove some mounts but SO MUCH ROOM FOR ACTIVITIES.
Loving the intake. The engine makes a nice low rumble under load through the intake and it sounds amazing. Also makes whoosh noises when snapping the throttle at idle. Great fun.
I also bought some wire loom and bundled together the wires going to my amplifier, so my trunk is a fair bit cleaner now. No pic because phone died, lol.

You need a heat shield, or else it’s a hot air intake :P

Yeah, and the piping needs to be a bit longer. It’s sitting on a fricken motor mount right now which is achieving nothing other than wearing a hole in the filter.

Thank you. I’d never heard of that before. When I put an intake on the LeSabre it just sounded like a REALLY LOUD vacuum cleaner

I don’t have time to re-watch that, but they did find small power gains on N/A engines, right?

Also, make sure it’s really damn tight. The end piece of the one on my A4 started to fall off. An extra hose clamp never hurt lol.

Yeah I used a ratchet on all of the hose clamps. Those bastards are ON there.
